Oneplus 2 camera review (oxygen os 2.2.1)

Camera:

The oneplus 2 is one of the best budget phones out there.Though it could not continue the viral momentum of it's older brother the oneplus one there is a lot to like about the phone apart from the cons like the odd ommision of NFC,one of them being it's camera. The 13mp f2.0 aperture camera has laser autofocus,OIS(Optical image stabilization) and dual LED flash. The camera at first was sluggish to say the least but oneplus being very good with updates the camera got better and better. Not to mention the 5mp front camera.

The subsequent updates by Oneplus brought several new features to the table including a manual mode and raw
support.

Samples:

Front camera:

The 5mp selfie camera is good for portrait shots and groupies too.But suffers in low-lighting conditions.

Natural lighting:

The oneplus 2 performs outstandingly with good colour saturation, brightness and sharpness. The laser autofocus helps get some sweet macro shots out of the camera.

Indoor lighting:

Even in indoor lighting the OP2 holds up pretty well compared to other phones in this segment. The photos are of decent quality and not much grains to be found.

Dim lighting:

As with most other phones the oneplus 2 suffers when it comes to dim lighting conditions. There is noticable amount of grain in the photo, but still much better than most other phones.

The Verdict

The oneplus 2's camera with the 13mp sensor, laser autofocus,OIS,the 5mp selfie camera and a now good camera software, not only for normal people wanting to take photos of their loved ones and selfie lovers but even for some enthusiasts the camera is a good contender and is definitely a plus for the oneplus 2.
