Get Free Native Hotspot on the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Without Rooting

How many times have you found yourself without WiFi? If you are like me, then you find yourself in that situation frequently. You could be outdoors, on a long car ride, or just have your internet go down at home and need NEED to watch some NICKELGHANDI videos on YouTube. But Sprint tries to hold you back at every turn. They are making it increasingly difficult to enable the WiFi Hotspot on your phone without paying or rooting. In this tutorial, I will show you how to enable the native WiFi hotspot on your phone for free without rooting.

Getting the native hotspot to work on your Galaxy Note 5 is actually really easy. There are only a few steps to take and then you can tether to your heart's content.

Step One: Get Your MSL
Getting your MSL can be an easy process or a difficult and frustrating process. This is probably the most complicated step in the whole tutorial.
There are two ways to get your MSL code.

The first way is to simply call Sprint Customer Service and ask nicely for it. Many times they will just give it to you no questions asked. Sometimes you will have to say something like you are having data connectivity issues and want to reset your settings. Sometimes they just will not give it to you and you can try calling again and getting a different customer service representative.

The second way requires that you have access to your online account settings and that you know your way around the Sprint website. You must activate an old phone, wait an hour or so, and then reactivate your current phone. During the setup process, you will be provided with a code that they call an activation code or something like that. That is your MSL.

However you get your MSL, you must have it in order to proceed.

Step Two: Open Your APN Settings

This step is easy. You simply open your dialer and enter ##3282# into the dial pad. It will prompt you with a screen with two options, View and Edit. Select edit. When prompted, enter your MSL code.

You will then be taken to a menu with a lot of options. Look for APN Settings and select it.
Once in APN settings, select APN2 EHRPD internet. Scroll down until you see APN type. Select it and edit it to appear as the screenshot shows.

You basically add a comma and the letters dun to the end of the list. Hit the menu button in the top right of the screen and hit save.
Do this same thing for APN2 LTE internet and make sure to hit save.
Now back out to your home screen.

Step Three: Restart & Profit
Restart your device and that is it. You should now be able to go into settings and hit hotspot and tethering and turn on your hotspot. You will now be able to add any device you have with a WiFi connection through that device's settings menu.

It is that easy. If you guys have any problems or questions, feel free to ask them here or on my YouTube channel. I can almost always answer within minutes and if I cannot, the community usually responds on its own.
